Compassionate support for those who have experienced abortion
Your feelings are valid. Your loss is real.
If you or someone you know, have experienced abortion, there may be unresolved feelings of loneliness, grief, or shame. It’s normal to feel a profound sense of loss after abortion. You are not alone. Our After Abortion Care Community is here to walk with you on your journey to find peace.
“I regret my abortion, but felt I had no other choice.”
“Not a day goes by when I don’t think about my child(ren).”
Why you may be struggling
Like many women, you may seldom — or never — speak about your abortion. Perhaps you’ve carried this secret for years, unsure of how to share it or who to trust. It may feel easier to tuck it away, to push it aside and bury the pain. You may fear being judged by others — or find that you can’t stop judging yourself.
You Are Not Alone
Women choose abortion for many reasons. Yet, regardless of the circumstances, many are left with emotional wounds — including complicated grief that can affect relationships, trigger anxiety or depression, and create a lingering sense of emptiness. Over time, as they recognize that something inside still hurts, many find the strength to reach out for support and take their first steps toward hope and healing.
Welcome message from our Director
The complicated grief of abortion
Many women who have had abortions are deeply conflicted but have found connection and renewed hope in our After Abortion Care community along with support through our many programs.
“The genuine love and support…[from this community] has enabled me to let go of my anger and the deep pain that resulted from my abortion. I am like a new person who has left the darkness and entered the light.”
